Mr. Manuel Lino Silva De Sousa-Oliveira is Non-Executive Independent Director of Antofagasta plc., since 28 October 2011. He has 30 years experience in the mining industry, in corporate finance, operational and strategic roles. He held senior executive positions within the Anglo American group and the De Beers group, including Executive Director – Corporate Finance and Head of Strategy and Business Development of De Beers S.A. He holds a B.Com degree from the University of Natal (Durban) with postgraduate qualifications in Accounting and Economics. He is a Chartered Accountant (“CA(SA)”) and Chartered Management Accountant (“FCMA”). He is a director of companies including Ferrous Resources Limited.
