Mr. George S. Dotson is Independent Chairman of the Board of Atwood Oceanics, Inc. Mr. Dotson served as an advisor to Helmerich & Payne, Inc. from March 2006 to March 2009 and was a Director from March 1989 to March 2007. He served as Vice President Drilling of Helmerich & Payne, Inc. and President of Helmerich & Payne International Drilling Co. from 1977 until his retirement in 2006. Helmerich & Payne, Inc. is a publicly-traded energy-oriented company primarily engaged in contract drilling of oil and gas wells both in the United States and internationally. Mr. Dotson also serves as a director of EdgeMarc Energy Holdings, LLC, a privately-held oil and gas exploration and production company.
