Mr. Robert M. Bakish is Independent Director of Avid Technology Inc since October 2009. Mr. Bakish has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Viacom International Media Networks, a division of Viacom Inc., a global entertainment content company, since January 2011. Mr. Bakish is also Chairman of the Board of Viacom 18 (Viacom's Indian joint venture) and serves on the boards of Viacom's joint ventures with BSkyB and Telecom Italia Media. From January 2007 to January 2011, Mr. Bakish served as the President of MTV Networks International, another division of Viacom. From July 2004 to January 2007, Mr. Bakish was Executive Vice President, Operations, of Viacom Enterprises, a subsidiary of Viacom. Prior to that, he served as MTV Networks' Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Advertising Sales and was Chairman of the Cable Television Advertising Bureau. Previously, Mr. Bakish was a partner with Booz Allen & Hamilton in its Media and Entertainment practice.
