Mr. Robert M. Le Blanc is a Chief Risk Officer of Barclays PLC. Robert has been the Chief Risk Officer for Barclays Group since 2004 having joined Barclays in 2002. As Chief Risk Officer Robert is responsible for developing and maintaining Barclays’ risk management capabilities, and managing the Risk function comprising a team of about 5,000 people across 30 countries. He has been a member of the Group Executive Committee since 2009 and was a member of the Board of the Absa Group (which is majority owned by Barclays) from 2008 until 2013. Prior to joining Barclays, Robert spent most of his career at JP Morgan in the capital markets, fixed income, emerging market and credit and risk management areas in New York and London.
