Dr. Andreas Kreimeyer has been Member of the Board of Executive Directors at BASF SE since January 1, 2003. He is responsible for various areas at the Company, including Inorganics, Petrochemicals, Intermediates, Chemicals Research & Engineering as well as BASF Future Business. In addition, Dr. Kreimeyer is Research Executive Director. In 1986, Dr. Kreimeyer joined BASF Aktiengesellschaft's main laboratory. In 1989, he was appointed Head of biological pilot plant at Main Laboratory. In 1991, Dr. Kreimeyer was appointed Group Leader Fermentations of Main Laboratory. In 1993, he was appointed Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors. In 1995, he was appointed Vice President, Regional Development at BASF South East Asia Pte., Singapore. In 1998, he became President of the Fertilizers division. In 2000, he became President of Dispersions division (in 2001 renamed Functional Polymers division). Dr. Kreimeyer studied Biology at the Universities of Hanover and Hamburg and was awarded his Doctorate. Since November 2008, he has been a Member of the Supervisory Board of Wintershall Holding AG. Since January 2008, he has been Chairman of the Advisory Council of BASF Venture Capital GmbH, a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Fund of the Chemical Industry and a Member of the BDI Committee for Research and Technology Policy. Since May 2008, Dr. Kreimeyer has been a Member of the Advisory Council of WINGAS GmbH. Since August 2008, he has been Member of the Coordinating Committee for Strategic Cooperation between OAO Gazprom and BASF SE and a Member of Advisory Board of C.H. Boehringer Sohn AG & Co. KG. Since November 2008, he has been a Member of the Advisory Council of Wintershall Erdgas Handelshaus GmbH (WIEH). He is Member of the Supervisory Board of Wintershall Holding AG.
