Brief Biography
Mr. Angel Cano Fernandez has been Chief Executive Officer and Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA since September 29, 2009. He is also Member of the Executive Committee of the Bank. Previously, he acted as Director of Systems and Human Resources and Systems of the Bank. In the past, he served as Controller at Argentaria, from 1998 to 2000, and Assistant Controller, from 1996 to 1998. Moreover, he has served as Alternate Member of the Board of Directors of BBVA Bancomer SA and Grupo Financiero BBVA Bancomer SA de CV, as well as Member of the Board of China Citic Bank Corporation Limited (CNCB) and Turkiye Garanti Bankasi AS.
