Brief Biography
Mr. Fulvio Conti is Non-Executive Independent Director of Barclays PLC. He joined the Board in April 2006 as a nonexecutive Director. Fulvio has financial and business experience from a career spanning over 35 years, and is currently CEO and General Manager of Enel SpA, the Italian energy company, where he was previously Chief Financial Officer from 1999 to 2005. During his career, Fulvio held the role of General Manager and CFO of Telecom Italia SpA from 1996-1998 and CFO for various private and government owned entities in Italy, was in charge of finance at Montedison-Compart, and was CFO of Montecatini. He has also held positions in finance and operations in various affiliates of Mobil Oil Corporation in Italy and Europe, where he spent his initial career spanning over 20 years.
