Mr. Francois Veverka has served as Independent Director of Credit Agricole SA since May 21, 2008. He is also Chairman of the Company's Risk Management Committee, Chairman of the Audit Committee and Member of the Strategy and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and Compensation Committee. A graduate of ESSEC and former ENA student, Francois Veverka held a number of different positions in the public economic sphere, notably in the French Ministry of Finance and the Commission des operations de bourse. He then went on to take up executive positions in Standard & Poor’s (1990-2006) where his role involved working with the French regulatory and supervisory authorities on all matters relating to banking and financial markets. He was then appointed Chief Executive Officer of Compagnie de Financement Foncier, before going on to become a banking and finance consultant. He is Director of LCL, Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank as well as Non-Voting Director of Amundi. He is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Octofinances. Previously, he was Teacher at ESCP-EAP (2012) and Ecole polytechnique federale de Lausanne (2012), among others.
