Mr. Francis Canterini is a Member of the Executive Committee of Credit Agricole SA and serves as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) as of December 1, 2010, in charge of support functions. Prior to that, he was Member of the Executive Committee and Group Head of Risk Management and Permanent Controls of Credit Agricole SA from February 11, 2009. He joined Credit Lyonnais in 1991 after working as an Economics Lecturer at Algiers University between 1973 and 1981. From 1981 to 1991, he worked for Agence Française de Developpement (AFD) as Special Advisor and then Head of Financing and Treasury. Within Credit Lyonnais, he worked in group financing, with a particular focus on the French and international bond markets, between 1991 and 1994, and then became Head of Group Financial Communication between 1994 and 1996. In 1997, he was appointed Head of the Financial Engineering department, where he was in charge of the Credit Lyonnais privatization project. In 2000, he became Deputy Financial Director, before becoming Financial Director in 2003. On January 1, 2006, he joined the Executive Committee with responsibility for the management division, including finance, loan approvals and debt recovery. In March 2007, he was appointed Deputy Managing Director of Cariparma. Mr. Canterini gained a Masters degree in Economics in 1972 and a DESS Postgraduate diploma in Economics in 1973.
