Mr. Carlos Marcio Ferreira serves as Vice-President for Operation and Member of the Executive Board of CPFL Energia SA. He worked at International Paper do Brasil Ltda from 1973 to 2004, acting as: Controlling Manager, Strategic Planning Manager, Business Manager, Business Development Officer, Vice President of Finance and Controller. In November 2004, he joined Elektro, occupying the position of Executive Officer responsible for coordinating and implementing strategies in the areas of Operations, Distribution, Commercial, Financial, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Human Resources and Infrastructure. In April 2007, he became Chief Executive Officer, a position he held until 2011. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of RGE and of the companies CPFL Paulista, CPFL Piratininga and Effective Member of CPFL Geracao. He graduated in Business Administration and Accounting from Faculdade de Administracao e Economia de Sao Joao da Boa Vista in 1987. He also holds post graduate degree in Accounting and Finance from Fundacao Getulio obtained in 1993. Since 1991, he has annually attended several Executive Training Seminars, with emphasis on the following courses: Development Program for Senior Executives in Finance at the Corporate University of Champion International Corporation; Leadership Development (CEOs) at UC Berkeley Executive Education.
