People: CPFL Energia S.A. (CPL)

Mr. Miguel Normando Abdalla Saad has served as Member of the Executive Board and Vice President of Generation of CPFL Energia SA since August 28, 2002. He graduated in Civil Engineering from Sao Carlos School of Engineering of Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP) in 1973. He held several senior positions at Companhia Energetica de Sao Paulo (CESP) from 1974 to 2000, such as Head Engineer of the Concrete Sector of the Civil Engineering Laboratory, Manager of the Water and Thermal Resources Division, Assistant Manager of the Electrical System Expansion Planning Department, and Manager of the Department of Construction and Contracts. From 1994 to 1997, he served as President of the Sao Paulo Commission of the Brazilian Committee on Large Dams. He is currently Energy Generation Officer of CPFL Geracao de Energia, CPFL Bioenergia, CPFL Sul Centrais Eletricas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENERCAN, Foz do Chapeco Energia and CERAN, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of BAESA, CPFL Paulista, CPFL Piratininga, and RGE.
