Mr. Jean-Paul Chifflet has served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Committee and Executive Committee of Credit Agricole SA since March 1, 2010. He held the position of Vice Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors from January 31, 2007 to March 1, 2010. He joined Credit Agricole du Sud-Est in 1973 as head of sales management. He was appointed Corporate Secretary of Credit Agricole de la Drome in 1980 and Corporate Secretary of Credit Agricole du Sud-Est in 1986. In 1990, he was named Head of Development and Lending at Credit Agricole du Sud-Est. In 1992, he joined Credit Agricole Ain Saone-et-Loire as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, and held that same office at Credit Agricole Centre-Est from 1995. In 1997, Mr. Chifflet was named Head of Relations with Regional Banks at Caisse Nationale de Credit Agricole, then, in 2000, Chief Executive Officer of Credit Agricole Centre-Est. From 2006 to January 2010, Mr. Chifflet served as corporate secretary of the Federation Nationale du Credit Agricole (FNCA), vice-chairman of SAS Rue La Boetie and a director of Calyon, LCL and Siparex Associes, a private equity house. He is also a member of the Conseil Economique et Social in Paris (since 2007) and a member and officer of the Board of Confederation Nationale de la Mutualite, de la Cooperation et du Credit Agricole (CNMCCA). Mr. Chifflet is a graduate of Institut de Haute Finance de Paris (IHFI) and a Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Merite and Officier du Merite Agricole. Mr. Chifflet also holds several other mandates, including Chairman of LCL, Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank and Amundi Group.
