Ms. Kristina M. Johnson, Ph.D., has been appointed as the Independent Director of Cisco Systems, Inc. Dr. Johnson has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Enduring Hydro, LLC, a clean energy development and consulting company, since January 2011. From May 2009 to October 2010, Dr. Johnson served as Under Secretary of Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy. Prior to this, Dr. Johnson was Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at The Johns Hopkins University from 2007 to 2009 and Dean of the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University from 1999 to 2007. Previously, she served as a professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of Colorado and as director of the National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center for Optoelectronics Computing Systems at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Dr. Johnson currently serves on the board of directors of Boston Scientific Corporation and The AES Corporation. Until her appointment to the Department of Energy when she resigned from all public boards, she had previously served as a director of Boston Scientific Corporation, The AES Corporation, Nortel Networks Corporation, and Minerals Technologies Inc., each ending in 2009.
