Brief Biography
Dr. Andrew J. Sussman is Senior Vice President, Associate Chief Medical Officer of CVS Caremark Corporation. He served as President of MinuteClinic, L.L.C., the Company’s retail-based health clinic subsidiary, since September 2009. Previously, from May 2004 through August 2009, Dr. Sussman served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of UMass Memorial Medical Center, the teaching affiliate of UMass Medical School, and also served as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Before joining UMass Memorial in May 2004, Dr. Sussman served as Chief Medical Officer of the Brigham and Women’s Physicians Organization. At Brigham and Women’s Hospital he practiced primary care internal medicine and taught as an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.
