Brief Biography
Mr. D. Eugene Ewing is an Independent Director of Darling International Inc., since May 2011. Mr. Ewing has been the managing member of Deeper Water Consulting, LLC, a private and business consulting company since March, 2004. Previously, Mr. Ewing was with the Fifth Third Bank. Prior to that, Mr. Ewing was a partner in Arthur Andersen LLP. Mr. Ewing currently serves as a director of Compass Diversified Holdings (NYSE: CODI), where he serves as chairman of the audit committee and as a member of the compensation committee. Mr. Ewing is on advisory boards for the business schools at Northern Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky. Mr. Ewing is also a director of a private trust company located in Wyoming.
