Mr. Philippe Crouzet has been an Independent Director of Electricite de France SA since November 23, 2009. He is also the Chairman of the Nuclear Commitments Monitoring Committee. He is a graduate of Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and of Ecole Nationale d’Administration. From 1981 until 1986, he was Auditor and then Counsel (Maitre des Requetes) at the Conseil d’Etat. He joined the Saint-Gobain group in 1986 as Head of Corporate Planning. Within this group, he was successively Managing Director of Papeteries de Condat (1989-1992), General Delegate to Spain and Portugal (1992-1996), President of the Building Division of the Glazing Branch (1996), President of the Ceramics and Plastic Division (1996-2000), Senior Vice-President in charge of Finance, Purchasing and Information Systems (2000-2005) and Senior Vice-President and President in charge of the Building Distribution sector (2005- 2009). He is the Chairman of the Management Board of Vallourec as of April 2009.
