Mr. Hans Vestberg has served as President, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Member of the Board of Ericsson since April 13, 2010. He has been President and CEO of the Company since January 1, 2010, and was First Executive Vice President from October 25, 2007 until January 1, 2010, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Group Function Finance from October 25, 2007 until November 1, 2009. He was also Executive Vice President at the Company from 2003 until October 25, 2007 and Head of Business Unit Global Services from 2003 to December 31, 2007, and Vice President, Head of Market Unit Mexico from 2002 to 2003. He has held various positions in the Group since 1988, including and Head of Finance and Control in USA, Brazil and Chile. He is also Board Chairman of Svenska Handbollforbundet, as well as Board Member of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson and Thernlunds AB. He has been President and CEO of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson since January 1, 2010. He was international advisor to the Governor of Guangdong, China and cochairman of the Russian-Swedish Business Council. He has been founding member of the Broadband Commission for Digital Development, and heading the Commission’s task group on the post 2015 development agenda. He was also Member of the Leadership Council of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Economics from University of Uppsala (Uppsala Universitet).
