People: Facet Biotech Corporation (FACT.O)

Mr. Herbert Cross, Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer, joined Facet Biotech Corporation in December 2008. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Cross served as the Corporate Controller and principal accounting officer of PDL, having joined PDL in November 2006. From November 1999 to June 2006, Mr. Cross held positions of increasing responsibility at Neoforma, Inc., most recently as Vice President of Finance, a position he held since February 2001. Neoforma was a provider of supply chain management solutions for the healthcare industry before it was acquired by Global Healthcare Exchange, LLC in March 2006. From August 1994 to November 1999, Mr. Cross was employed by Arthur Andersen LLP, an independent public accounting firm, most recently as a Manager in the Assurance and Business Advisory Services group, during which time Mr. Cross managed the audits of both public and private corporations in the software, technology, retail and manufacturing industries. Mr. Cross is a Certified Public Accountant and received his B.S. in Business Administration, with a dual emphasis in Finance and Accounting, from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
