Mr. Michael Sean Merril Covey is Executive Vice President of Global Solutions and Partnerships, Education Practice Leader of Franklin Covey Co., since July 28, 2010. Sean was formerly Senior Vice President of Innovations and Product Development from April 2006 to September 2009, where he led the development of nearly all of the Company’s current organizational offerings, including: The 7 Habits curriculum; xQ; The 4 Disciplines of Execution; The Leader in Me; and Leadership Greatness. Prior to 2006, Sean ran the Franklin Covey retail chain of stores, growing it to $152 million in sales. Before joining FrankinCovey, Sean worked for the Walt Disney Company, Trammel Crow Ventures, and Deloitte & Touche Consulting. Sean is also the author of several books, including The 4 Disciplines of Execution, The 6 Most Important Decisions You'll Ever Make, the New York Times Best Seller The 7 Habits of Happy Kids, and the international bestseller The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, which has been translated into 20 languages and has sold over 4 million copies. Sean graduated with honors from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree in English and later earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School. Sean is the son of the late Dr. Stephen R. Covey, who formerly served as the Vice-Chairman of Board of Directors of the company.
