Miller, Aleksey 

Mr. Aleksey Borisovich Miller has served as Chairman of the Management Board at Gazprom PAO (until July 17, 2015 Gazprom OAO), since 2001. Since 2002 he has been Deputy Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors (re-appointed on July 17, 2015). From May 7, 2008 until June 27, 2008 he served as Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company. On June 27, 2008, he was re-appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at Gazprom OAO. In 1990, he was appointed Researcher at the Leningrad Finance and Economics Institute, and then Head of the Section at the Committee on Economic Reform of the Leningrad City Council. From 1991 to 1996, Mr. Miller served with the Committee for External Relations at the St. Petersburg Mayor’s Office, as Head of the Markets Monitoring Section in the Foreign Economic Relations Department. Later, he was appointed Head of the Department, and Deputy Chairman of the Committee at the St. Petersburg Mayor’s Office. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Miller was Director for Development and Investments at the St. Petersburg Seaport (Morskoy Port of St. Petersburg Open Joint Stock Company). From 1999 to 2000, he held the post of General Director at the Baltic Pipeline System company. In 2000, he was appointed Deputy Energy Minister of the Russian Federation. Mr. Miller graduated from Voznesensky Leningrad Finance and Economics Institute (currently Saint Petersburg University of Economics and Finance) in 1984. After graduation, he served as Engineer-Economist in the General Planning Division of the Leningrad Civil Construction Research and Design Institute, LenNIIProekt. In 1989, Mr. Miller also completed postgraduate studies at Saint Petersburg University of Economics and Finance, receiving Candidate of Economic Sciences degree.
