People: Gazprom OAO (GAZP.MM)

Mr. Igor Khanukovich Yusufov has served as Member of the Board of Directors at Gazprom OAO since 2003. He was Engineer at Mosenergo from 1979 to 1984, and Senior Expert of the Havana steam electric power plant construction, Cuba. He has held various government jobs since 1991, including: Deputy Chairman of the Economic Security Committee of the Russian Federation, the office of the President of RSFSR from 1991 to 1992; Deputy Minister in the Ministry for Foreign Economic Relations of the Russian Federation in 1993; senior management position at Rosvooruzheniye from 1994 to 1996; Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Industry of the Russian Federation from 1996 to 1997; First Deputy Chairman, Acting Chairman and Chairman at the State Reserves Committee of the Russian Federation between 1998 and 1999, and finally General Director of the Russian State Reserves Agency from 1999 to 2001. Subsequently, from 2001 to 2004, Mr. Yusufov held the position of Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation. From 2004 to 2011, Mr. Yusufov was Special Envoy of the Russian Federation President for International Energy Cooperation and Ambassador of the Russian Federation Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He graduated from Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute (currently South-Russian State Technical University) s an electricity engineer in 1979. In 1991, he received a degree in International Economic Relations from the All-Union Academy of Foreign Trade.
