People: GFI Group Inc. (GFIG.O)

James Peers is Chief Financial Officer of GFI Group Inc. He joined the Company in August 2002. Prior to joining Company, Mr. Peers was a Senior Vice President at Bank One in Chicago from 1999 to 2001 where he held various positions, including Corporate Controller. He also was the Chief Financial Officer for Rabobank International in New York and a Senior Vice President-Corporate Development for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in New York. Mr. Peers is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant and was a partner at Ernst & Young where he spent 18 years working in their Toronto and Chicago offices.
