Ms. Anne L. Arvia is Independent Director of GATX Corporation since January 30, 2009. She was named President and Chief Operating Officer of Nationwide Direct, Affinity & Growth Solutions in August 2012. Previously, she served as President of Nationwide Retirement Plans from November 2009 to August 2012 and Chief Executive Officer of Nationwide Bank, a unit of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, from 2006 to November 2009. Prior to joining Nationwide, Ms. Arvia served as President and Chief Executive Officer of ShoreBank, a community development and environmental bank, from 2001 to 2006. She joined ShoreBank in 1991 as Assistant Controller and was named Chief Financial Officer in 1998. Ms. Arvia serves as the Chair of the GATX Audit Committee and also serves on the Governance Committee. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
