People: Globalstar, Inc. (GSAT.O)

Paul A. Monte has served as Vice President - Engineering and Product Development of Globalstar, Inc since September 2005. Paul Monte is responsible for the systems engineering of the Globalstar network as well as the company’s development and launch of new products and services. Paul began working on the Globalstar project in 1990 and was the principal architect of the original Globalstar space and ground segment. Between 1997 and 2005, he served as the company’s Director of Systems Engineering. Prior to joining Globalstar Mr. Monte was Principal Engineer at Space Systems/Loral, responsible for systems analysis and various communications and tactical initiatives. He has also worked at Ford Aerospace as a Senior Research Development Engineer. Mr. Monte holds a Masters Degree in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
