Brief Biography
Mr. Bill Georgiou was appointed Chief Information Officer of Global Sources Ltd. in January 2001. Since 1989, he has held senior management positions in IT and related business fields with corporations in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. He has directed the development and implementation of business systems and e-commerce applications (B2C, B2B), managed data center and network infrastructure, and negotiated outsourcing contracts and hardware and software acquisitions. He has also played a role in the commercialization of new technologies and adoption of practices in IT management. For nearly 15 years, he has developed specialist expertise in supply chain web enablement and systems. He received his B.Ec. (Honours degree) and M.B.A. from the University of Adelaide.
