Mr. James P. Shaffer is Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer of Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. Mr. James Shaffer joined Halozyme in 2011 with over 23 years of Commercial Operations experience. From 2007 to 2011, he was at Clinical Data, Inc. where he was responsible for Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Manufacturing with his most recent position as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. Prior to Clinical Data, he worked at New River Pharmaceuticals, Prestwick Pharmaceuticals, InterMune and GSK. He has experience in variety of pharmaceutical companies in the areas of Neurology, Psychiatry, Oncology, GI and Pulmonary Care with specialized experience in developing and marketing genetic tests in Oncology and Cardiology. Mr. Shaffer received his M.B.A. in Marketing and B.S. in Economics from Ohio State University.
