Mr. Takanobu Ito was named President and Representative Director of HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD., effective June 2009. Prior to that, he served as Senior Managing Director and Chief Director of Automobile Operation of the Company. He joined the Company in April 1978. His previous titles include Managing Director and Managing Executive Officer of the Company. He used to work for its subsidiaries, Honda R&D Americas, Inc. and Honda R&D Co., Ltd.
