Mr. Fred W. Hatfield is Independent Director of IntercontinentalExchange, Inc. Mr. Hatfield is the founder of Hatfield Advisory Services. Mr. Hatfield serves on the Board of Directors of ICE U.S. OTC Commodity Markets and ICE Futures U.S., Inc., where he serves as Chairman of the Board, and serves on the Board of Managers of ICE Clear Credit, all of which are the subsidiaries. He served as a member of the Obama Economic Policy Advisory Committee and prior to that, Mr. Hatfield served as a Public Policy Advisor at Patton Boggs, LLP from 2006 to 2007 and he was a Commissioner at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission from 2004 to 2006. Mr. Hatfield served as Chief of Staff to former Senator John Breaux (D-LA) from 1995 to 2004 and former House Majority Whip Tony Coelho (D-CA) from 1980 to 1989. He has over twenty years experience in the areas of energy, private equity/venture capital/hedge funds, and financial services and products. Mr. Hatfield served as Deputy Commissioner General of the U.S. Pavilion at the World’s Fair in Lisbon, Portugal in 1998. He has a B.A. degree from California State University.
