Mr. Ronald A. Williams has been appointed as an Independent Director of Johnson & Johnson. He is a member of the Compensation & Benefits Committee and the Regulatory, Compliance & Government Affairs Committee. Mr. Williams served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aetna Inc. (managed care and health insurance) from 2006 to 2010, and as Chairman from 2010 until his retirement in April 2011. He currently serves on President Obama’s Management Advisory Board. He is also an advisor to the private equity firm, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, LLC, and serves as Chairman of the board of Emergency Medical Services Corporation, a provider of facility-based physician services and medical transportation services in the U.S. In addition, Mr. Williams lends his time and experience to a number of organizations, such as the International Federation of Health Plans. He also serves on the boards of the Peterson Institute for International Economics and Save the Children and on the Advisory Board of the Peterson Center on Healthcare. Previously, Mr. Williams served as Chairman of the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare from 2007 to 2010 and Vice Chairman of The Business Council from 2008 to 2010.
