Mr. John A. Keyes is Independent Director of Kinross Gold Corporation. Mr. Keyes held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of Battle Mountain Gold Company from 1999 until his retirement in 2001. Prior to that, he served as the Senior Vice President - Operations for Battle Mountain Gold Company with responsibilities for operations in United States, Canada, Bolivia, Chile and Australia. Mr. Keyes received his Bachelor of Science Mine Engineering degree from Michigan Technological University and completed an executive Masters of Business Administration program at the University of Toronto. Mr. Keyes has graduated from the Director’s Education Program at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management. He is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
