Brief Biography
Mr. Henry R. Kravis serves as Co-Chairman of KKR Guernsey GP Limited, the General Partner of KKR Private Equity Investors LP. Mr. Kravis founded Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (KKR) in 1976 with Mr. Roberts. Currently, Mr. Kravis participates in all of the investment activities of KKR's business and serves on its Equity Investment, Debt Investment and Portfolio Management Committees. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of Tarkett S.A. Prior to co-founding KKR, Mr. Kravis was a Partner in the Corporate Finance Department of Bear Stearns & Company, where he pioneered the use of leverage in acquisitions. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA. from The Graduate School of Business at Columbia University.
