Brief Biography
Mr. George R. Roberts serves as Co-Chairman of KKR Guernsey GP Limited, the General Partner of KKR Private Equity Investors LP. Mr. Roberts founded KKR in 1976 with Mr. Kravis. Currently, Mr. Roberts participates in all of the investment activities of KKR's business and serves on its Equity Investment, Debt Investment and Portfolio Management Committees. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of U.S. Natural Resources, Inc. and Accel-KKR Company. Prior to co-founding KKR, Mr. Roberts was in the Corporate Finance Department of Bear Stearns & Company, where he became a Partner at 29 and where he pioneered the use of leverage in acquisitions. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Claremont McKenna College, and a J.D. from the University of California (Hastings) Law School.
