Brief Biography

Mr. Bruce R. Lakefield is Vice Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of US Airways Group Inc. Mr. Lakefield served as President and Chief Executive Officer of US Airways Group and US Airways from 2004 to 2005. After this, Mr. Lakefield served as Vice Chairman of the Board of US Airways Group and US Airways. Mr. Lakefield served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lehman Brothers International from 1995 until 1999. He has served as a Senior Advisor to the Investment Policy Committee of HGK Asset Management from 2000 to 2004. Mr. Lakefield served as a member of the board of directors of Magic Media, Inc., a privately held company, until 2008 and currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Norman Broadbent PLC (previously Garner PLC), a publicly traded company on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange. Mr. Lakefield has served as a director of US Airways Group and US Airways since 2003.
