Mr. Hubert Vedrine has served as Independent Member of the Board of Directors of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA since May 13, 2004. He is a Member of the Conseil d’Etat (the French Council of State) and began his career as a senior civil servant at the Ministry of Culture. In 1981, he became Technical Advisor for the President of the French Republic on External Relations at the office of the Secretary General. In 1988, he became Spokesman and then was appointed Secretary General for the President of the French Republic in 1991. In 1995, he joined the Law firm Jeantet et Associes as Partner. Mr. Vedrine served as Minister for Foreign Affairs between 1997 and 2002 and in 2003, he founded Hubert Vedrine Conseil, a consultancy firm specialized in geopolitical strategy. He also serves as a Director of Ipsos SA.
