Brief Biography
Larry A. Mizel has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. and the Chief Executive Officer of the Company for more than five years and was elected President of the Company in March 1996. Mr. Mizel resigned as President of the Company in June 1999. Mr. Mizel has been a Director since founding the Company in January 1972. In 2003, Mr. Mizel was elected chairman of the board of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, an international human rights organization.
