Mr. Daniel M. Taitz is no longer Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc., effective December 31, 2013. An accomplished lawyer with experience in the media business, Mr. Taitz joins MSLO from Univision Communications Inc., where he was Senior Vice President, Business Affairs. Prior to Univision, Mr. Taitz served as Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Secretary at Oxygen Media Corporation, the negotiations of NBC Universal's acquisition of the company. He also played a lead role in structuring and negotiating Oxygen's cable and satellite distribution deals, acquisitions and joint venture arrangements while overseeing corporate and business development, human resources, technology and finance. He was previously a partner at the New York law firm Friedman Kaplan & Seiler LLP where he represented clients in mergers and acquisitions and a variety of other corporate matters. Mr. Taitz began his legal career at Wilkie Farr & Gallagher after graduating magna cum laude from Cornell University Law School, where he was editor of the Cornell Law Review. He received his B.A. from Trinity College.
