Black, Charles

Brief Biography

Mr. Charles M. A. Black is Chief Executive Officer, Director of Nasstar plc. He set up Nasstar in January 1998. His interest in the Internet began in 1994 when he chose to study the legal issues surrounding the distribution of information on the Internet for a University research paper, later published by Tolley’s Communications Law. Before setting up Nasstar Charles completed his legal training, qualifying as a barrister in 1997 having trained in both media law and company law chambers. In addition to Nasstar, he was a Director of Xworks Limited which listed on LSE AIM by way of a reverse takeover in April 2001. Following the takeover he was appointed to the Board of Xworks plc, later re-named Gaming Corporation plc, and remained a Director until March 2005 when he stepped down following a £14m fund-raising in order to focus on listing Nasstar on LSE AIM.
