Mr. Thornburgh is Director of NewStar Financial, Inc. He has been a Partner of Corsair Capital LLC*, an investment firm, since February 2006. From 1976 until December 2005, Mr. Thornburgh held management positions at the Credit Suisse Group and its various subsidiaries and predecessor institutions, most recently as Executive Vice Chairman of Credit Suisse First Boston and member of the Executive Board of Credit Suisse Group. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Credit Suisse Group and is on its Risk Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Sparta Insurance Company, chairs its Audit Committee and serves on its Risk Committee.
