Mr. Elie Girard has served as Executive Vice President in charge of Group Strategy & Development and Member of the Executive Committee of France Telecom SA since September 1, 2010. Mr. Girard joined the France Telecom-Orange Group in 2007 and was appointed Chief of Staff for the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Didier Lombard. When Stephane Richard became the Group's Chief Executive Officer on March 1, 2010, Mr. Girard was appointed as a Director alongside him. Within this framework, he has been responsible for mapping out the Group conquest 2015 project, which was presented at the start of July 2010. He began his career in 2001 with Andersen as an auditor and consultant, before joining the French Ministry of Finance and Industry, as part of the directorate general for economic policy and the treasury. From 2004 to 2007, he worked in the cabinets of Thierry Breton, Minister of Finance and Industry, and Jean-Francois Cope, Under-Secretary for State Reform and Budget, a government spokesperson. He graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris and Harvard University.
