Mr. Henri Serres served as a Representative of the French State on the Board of Directors at France Telecom SA since February 18, 2013. He is a Member of the Company's Governance an Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. He has been General Engineer of Mines at the General Council of Economy, Industry, Energy and Technology (CGEIET) in the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance since 2009. During his career he has been Technical Director at the French Ministry of Defense (1981-1986), Director of Radiotelephony at Matra Communication (1986-1989) and Director at the Directorate-General for Industry in charge of the Communication and Service Industries (1989-1986). He was then Vice Chairman of CSC Peat Marwick from 1996 to 2000, Director of Security for Information Systems at the General Secretariat of National Defence from 2000 to 2005 and Vice Chairman of the General Council of Information Technology at the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry from 2005 to 2006. He was appointed Chief Information and Communication Officer at the Ministry of Defence in 2006. He is a graduate of the Ecole nationale superieure des telecommunications (ENST) and is also an Officer of the French Legion of Honor and an Officer of the French National Oreder of Merit.
