John A. Roush has served as Senior Vice President of PerkinElmer, Inc. since 2006 and was named President of the Environmental Health segment in January 2009 after serving as Vice President and President of the Optoelectronics segment since 2004. Mr. Roush first joined the company in 1999 as General Manager of a specialty lighting division within the Optoelectronics business, and subsequently held several additional roles within Optoelectronics. From 2001 to 2002, he served as Vice President & General Manager of the Sensors business, and from 2002 to 2004, he held the role of Vice President of Sales & Product Management. Before joining the company, Mr. Roush held leadership positions with General Electric, AlliedSignal, Inc., now Honeywell International, and McKinsey & Company. Mr. Roush holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Tufts University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School.
