Mr. Antonio del Valle Ruiz serves as Director of Banco Popular Espanol, Sociedad Anonima since April 7, 2014. He has been President of the Board of Directors of the Business Group Kaluz, private consortium to which belong Mexichem, Elementia, Ve por Más, as well as other companies in the housing sector and real estate. He has been appointed as Honorary Life Chairman of the mentioned Group. He has been actively involved in the Mexican financial sector for more than 40 years and he is considered as one of the most successful business men by specialized publications and industry leaders. He is Honorary Life Chairman of Mexichem and member of several Boards of Directors. He was Chief Executive of Crédito Refaccionario Industrial from 1962 to 1974. In 1974, He acquired and merged various financial institutions, which brought as a result the creation of Bancreser, a financial institution where he acted as President of the Board of Directors, General Manager and main shareholder until September 1982. In 1992, he acquired Banco Internacional and he founded the financial Group Bital, where he played the role of President of the Board of Directors, General Manager and main shareholder until 2001. In 2001, he established the Business Group Kaluz. Through the Foundation Kaluz, he promoted different programs of high economic and social impact, supporting the education, the housing for the base of the pyramid, as well as sport activities. He supports a large number of institutions for culture and education such as Fundación Tamayo, the Museo del Prado in Madrid, Arte Mexicano Promoción and Excelencia, A.C and he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation Magdalena Ruíz del Valle.
