Mr. Edward G. Galante is Independent Director of Praxair Inc. He is former Senior Vice President and a member of the Management Committee of ExxonMobil Corporation from 2001 until his retirement in 2006. His principal responsibilities included the worldwide downstream business — Refining & Supply, Fuels Marketing, Lubricants and Specialties, and Research and Engineering. Immediately prior to that, Mr. Galante was Executive Vice President of ExxonMobil Chemical Company. Mr. Galante is a director of Foster Wheeler Ltd. (where he serves on the Audit Committee and is the Chairman of the Compensation Committee), and is a director of Clean Harbors, Inc. (where he serves on the Corporate Governance Committee). He also serves on the Board of Junior Achievement Worldwide, is the Chairman of the Board of the United Way Foundation of Metropolitan Dallas, and is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Northeastern University.
