Mr. Robert L. Wood is Independent Presiding Director of Praxair Inc. He is former Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer of Chemtura Corporation (a specialty chemicals company) from 2004 to 2008. Prior to joining Chemtura, Mr. Wood served in various senior management positions at Dow Chemical Company, most recently as business group president for Thermosets and Dow Automotive from November 2000. Mr. Wood is also a director of Jarden Corporation (where he serves on the Nominating and Policies Committee and is the Chairman of the Executive Compensation Committee), and has served as Chairman of the American Plastics Council. During the past five years, he was also Chairman of the American Chemistry Council.
