Mr. Felipe Alvarez serves as Senior Vice President and President of RCN Metro Optical Networks where he is responsible for the overall financial performance of RCN’s telecommunications business unit. From 1999 until joining RCN in 2006, he was Chief Operating Officer of Con Edison Communications Inc. Prior to joining Con Edison Communications in 1999, Felipe was responsible for marketing and sales for an IP-based solutions start-up company funded by NYNEX/Bell Atlantic. Mr. Alvarez holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the City College of New York as well as an M.B.A. from New York University.
