Mr. Jean-Pierre Cojan was appointed as Executive Vice President - Strategy and Transformation, Member of the Executive Committee of Safran SA effective on July 1, 2013. He was previously the Company's Executive Vice President - Strategy, Member of the Executive Committee. He was also Executive Vice President in charge of Strategy and Development of the Company from July 2009. He graduated from the Ecole des Mines de Paris engineering school (Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Paris) in 1974 and joined Snecma in 1977 as Structural Design Engineer. Starting in 1981, he held various customer management positions, including military applications for the CFM56 in the United States, preparation for service entry of new CFM International customers (1985) and customer support for several airlines (1988). Mr. Cojan was then named Head of Customer Technical Support in 1990, then Director of Marketing in 1991. He became Director of the civil aviation market in 1995, then Head of the Commercial Engines division in 2001. In 2007, he was named Chairman and CEO of Aircelle.
