Mr. Gerd Grimmig has been Member of the Executive Board of K+S AG since October 1, 2000. He is responsible for Mining and Geology, Technology and Energy, Research and Development, Environmental, Work Safety, Quality Management, Inactive Plants, Consulting, Waste Management and Recycling business segments, as well as for Animal Hygiene Products at the Company. He graduated from Technische Universitaet Clausthal with a degree in mining engineering in 1981. He worked in mining operations at various plants and in the mining division at the head office of Kali und Salz AG (now K+S Aktiengesellschaft). Between 1990 and 1996, he held several plant manager positions in the mining division. Between January 1997 and September 2001, Gerd Grimmig was managing director of Kali und Salz GmbH and responsible for the mining department. .
