Barpoulis, Sarah 

Ms. Sarah M. Barpoulis is an Independent Director of Semgroup Corporation. Since 2003, she has provided asset management and advisory services to the merchant energy sector through Interim Energy Solutions, LLC, a company she founded. From 1991 to 2003, Ms. Barpoulis was employed with PG&E National Energy Group, Inc., now known as National Energy & Gas Transmission, Inc. (“National Energy”), a company that developed, built, owned and operated electric generating and natural gas pipeline facilities and provided energy trading, marketing and risk management services, last serving as senior vice president, commercial operations and trading. Ms. Barpoulis serves on the board of directors of South Jersey Industries, an energy services holding company with utility and non-utility operations. She is also a director of South Jersey Energy Company and Educare, DC. She previously served as a director of Reliant Energy, Inc. from 2006 to 2008. Ms. Barpoulis has a master’s degree in business administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Science and engineering degree from Princeton University. Ms. Barpoulis provides the Board with valuable executive-level leadership experience and risk management and business planning expertise obtained from her consulting services provided through Interim Energy Solutions, LLC and her varied roles of increasing responsibility with National Energy. She has received a Certificate of Director Education from the NACD and qualifies as an “audit committee financial expert” as defined by the SEC. Her risk management expertise, background and prior board and work experience allow her to be a valuable contributor to the Board.
