Positions held include non-executive Chairman of the Board (May 2006 to present) and interim Chief Executive Officer (January 2006 to April 2006) of American Water, a provider of water services in North America; interim Chief Executive Officer of C&D Technologies, Inc., a technology company that produces and markets systems for the conversion and storage of electrical power (March 2005 to July 2005); Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of P.H. Glatfelter Company, a manufacturer of specialty papers and engineered products (September 2001 to June 2002); Vice Chairman (2000 to 2001) and Chief Financial Officer (1995 until his retirement in 2001) of, and several other executive positions during his 22-year career with, Hercules, Incorporated, a global chemical specialties manufacturer.
