Brief Biography
William P. Forbes has been Vice President, Research and Development and Chief Development Officer of Salix Pharmaceuticals, Ltd., since January 2005. From 2002 through 2004, Dr. Forbes was Vice President, Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs of Metabasis Therapeutics, Inc. He has also worked for Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility from 1991 to 2002 and Glaxo, Inc. from 1989 through 1991. He has extensive experience in clinical development, regulatory affairs and project management. Dr. Forbes received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University.
